How can I get odor out and when is it safe to return to live in it?Rats in the suspended ceiling..exterminator coming..apt. smells like a dirty birdcage.?
First, you need to make sure the entry point for the rats is sealed shut--permanently!! Then, to remove the odour, you will probably have to replace the ceiling tiles. They are porous, and the odour has probably permeated them. But-- your landlord should be doing this, not you.
