Anyone with any advice on pet rats?

have had my two pet rats since they were little but they are very scared and wont let me pick them up, anyone have any tips?!

have had rats before and never encountered this problem!Anyone with any advice on pet rats?
Why don't you hand feed them?fill your hands with food and treats that you know they like.then, slowly approach them inside the cage.Slowly, they will go to you and eat the treats in your hand.Do this for over a week and the rats will get used to your scent and soon they will let themselves be handled.

Also,i must ask:are they in a peaceful environment?not much noise or anything of the sort?if not, then I suggest you move them out of that room and find a good quiet room.stress contributes to fear too.

I know rats are social animals, but do consider separating them, at least temporarily. If they no longer have each other to depend on for companionship, then they will more likely bond with you.

Keep handling them, hand feeding them, playing with them (separately), eventually they will come round. Let them have ';play'; sessions together so that they remain friends and when the time comes they will be happy to live together again.
Play with them more often. The only way for them to get over their fear is by facing it. It should not take long for them to get used to being picked up, but every rat is different.
Are you sure their not Siberian Hamster's?
yucks rats are disgusting! kill them
