Random items that are safe for rats that they might enjoy?

A rat can make a toy out of anything she or he can chew on, climb onto or into or carry around. Since rats are individuals what one rat enjoys might not seem like fun to another rat, so variety is key.

Our rats love chew treats of all kinds. Recently we got them some Nylabones in mint %26amp; vanilla yogurt flavors, which they appreciated. Once in awhile they get a nut inside its shell.

Some of our little guys enjoy hard plastic cat balls, especially if there's a bell inside. One girl's favorite toy was the plastic lid of a can of cooking spray, which was intended as a temporary food dish while she was in quarantine. She kept dislodging it, dumping the food out %26amp; carrying all over the cage, so when it was time for her to live with our other girls, the lid went with her. Sturdy parrot toys work well too.

Lots of rats like the tubes from toilet paper rolls, especially if you put a treat inside %26amp; fold both ends over. Cardboard boxes make a big hit with all our rats. You can hang them from the top or sides of the cage or simply place them on the floor. We do both.Random items that are safe for rats that they might enjoy?
Idk about rats but what i did for my hamster is got a shoebox and cut a hole like a door and kept it enclosed since they like dark places to sleep and i put bedding in it and my hamster realized hey i can have this as a bed room and she really liked it and used it everytime I had to thorw it away and make another one cause she would pee and poo in a corner and the pee got in the cardboard so i think that it is a cool thing to make for them kinda like their own bed room.Random items that are safe for rats that they might enjoy?
Basically anything, as long as it doesn't have chemicals in it that might hurt them. Try empty toilet paper rolls, little plastic toy balls, a little wheel for them to run on, something for them to climb on, stuff like that. Rats are very playful and smart and they enjoy most things.
A fleece blanket all scrunched up, females especially love to burrow into them. a tea towel hung from cage bars hakes a great hammock, a wooden wine rack is a good climbing frame, shoeboxes with the lid taped on and a small doorway cut in the side, old ugg-type boots, paper bags, just anything you have at hand really.
TISSUE BOX TRY IT...they will pull one out and chew it, and then they like it because there are more and more that pop out.

BANANA CHIPS THEY ARE LIKE CHEW TOYS...they like the way they taste, and I find that they are more successful than the wood chews.

SOMETIMES FINGERNAIL CLIPPINGS...they love chewing on fingernails.
