Can pet rats and pet mice live togeather?

I have a rat and i was just wondering if rats and mice can live togeather. if they would get along?Can pet rats and pet mice live togeather?
Hmm..

I've heard both arguments on this. One hard thing would be getting a big enough cage for the rats, that mice couldn't escape out of. Bare in mind rats shouldn't be kept in aquarium tanks, it can make them prone to respitory disease.

If you're going to do this.. they'd have to be young, and the mice would need somewhere (perhaps a second cage, linked with smallish tubes) to get away from the rats, seeing rats can be boistrous..

Anyhoo good luck with this, hope you work something out.Can pet rats and pet mice live togeather?
I've started introducing the wild house mouse that we've hand raised to our female rats, and they seem to interact ok on neutral ground. Its a gradual process that takes time. It can probably happen, though a lot of people (idiots that like to shoot their mouths off) say ';ZOMG NO WAI NEVAR.';
You bet! I've had my fair share of female mice and rats...the more the merrier, they love company and will play for hours...also had a dwarf hamster in with them.
