my friend moses bought a rat that was two years old ( i never got to see it) he said it was a rat and he said he had it for 4 more years. was this a rat? or something else?Is it possible for rats to live for 6 years? (all rat haters don't bother even clicking on my question.)?
Yes, it's possible but highly improbable. I have a good friend who claims that she's had rats who lived to be 6 or 7 years old (when she was a kid) but the oldest rat I've ever met was 3 yrs %26amp; 4 months old.

its a rat people have it longer than two years like some people say you can have them longer with the right bedding to all rat people give them yesterday news cause all they fluffy stuff carries dust and they can get them sick and sneezing like crazy second the right fod and nutreints is the important part of giving a rat a extra life thats about it
no they can live quite long as long as they are fed, treated and stuff correctly if they have no stress, correct diet and treated correctly they should live longer, this could be true, i have ehard of a rat being 6 years old too, it was deffinately a rat so its likely.

It is possible but not very probable. By the time a rat is 2 in rat years its 90 in people years. But I have heard of some ppls living till they were 6. Dont know what they fed them but rats usually live between 2 and 4 years and 5 if your extremely lucky
