Are pigeons just rats with wings?

These stupid pigeons have been nesting in the eaves of my second floor condo unit and have been crapping all over my balcony. When pest control came over to remove the nest, the guy said that pigeons are just rats with wings. Sounds about right, don't you think? Are pigeons just rats with wings?
No.

Rats have more dark meat. Are pigeons just rats with wings?
Um, thats insulting rats. You know they are not actually rats. They really are birds. I think they are cute, but, yeah, their poo can get annoying. I have a cockatiel and I got him a diaper so I don't have to deal with poo in the house. I also have 2 rats and they are really cute and very, very intelligent animals. They rank with cats and dogs for intelligence, sometimes even smarter.
No they are not they are birds just like any other. They are looking for food, shelter and a place to raise young just like all other animals and us for that matter. Pigeons are very clean and I know as I have them. Feral and domestic. I am also a wildlife rehabber and can offer many good things about them. They have a very important place in history. No one wants poop around this is true but there are many ways to deter it without hurting the birds hang a plastic owl up or some tin pans works every time. Female pigeons will not even go to the bathroom in the cage when they have eggs or babes have to literally pick them up off eggs and make them get out to go.
uhhh... sure in terms of pestiness

but those two split apart on the evolutionary tract hundreds of millions years ago.
