Is a rat terrier dog good for getting rid of rats? ?

Yes and no. These dogs are used on farms to get rid of unwanted rodents such as rats. So in theory they can be useful to rid you of unwanted rats.

The reason I'd be hesitant to try this if you have a rat terrier as a pet is due to the fact that it can be dangerous. Just as live feedings of snakes can be dangerous when rats fight back, having your dog attempt to kill a live animal can be dangerous to it. Rats have sharp nails and can put up quite a fight. Your dog could be injured by the rat. This is also not a humane way to rid yourself of the rats. Why not buy some live traps to get rid of them? Many places will rent out their live traps for you. Simply trap the rats and let them go miles away from your home.Is a rat terrier dog good for getting rid of rats? ?
there are traps you can buy that are harmless to the rats and convenient , and then you just let them in the wild

they look like this

just put food and water in it and u are ready to go , the rat will tread on the string thing and it closes behind them.

please dont kill them it is not nice and u would't like it if a rat set a human eating dog on you .

I'm sorry but this section is for pet rodents but, ok.

I have to suggest going with a humane trap, even for pests. Like the first answer, rats do fight back, especially the pests.
